| Put up a little handful of new sweaters this evening, including the poor blue v-neck that didn't sell last time. ((CLICK)) to be magically transported to my bulging auctions page. Pistachio Dacquoise is a mohair scoopneck with over 300 handsewn beads: Candyfloss is a very girly mohair cowlneck: And there's a sort-of companion Candyfloss shawl with silver Lurex knit in: Shore is a Suri cowl for girls: Shallows is kind of Shore's sister: Whoohoo! I feel so accomplished! And I've still got some to go. And I have a little stack of commissions! *confetti* | |

| Golly socks, the socialising habit is a hard thing to pick up again! Still working at it... Photobucket wussed out on me while I was setting up my Tuesday auctions, so they got rolled over to Wednesday...they go up starting at 11 AM PST. ((CLICK)) to visit my eBay listings. ^^ I guess this was kind of an E.A. Poe sweater trio... ;) Surely October, a Merino wool crewneck for SD13 girls: Sweet Sister, a boucle sleeveless cowlneck with matching shawl/mantle: Miraculous Crescent, a Suri scoopneck glittering with blue-violet & silver Lurex: and then... Perhaps in Slytherin is a Merino set for SD13 boys: | |

| I had to take a bit of time off after the whole 6-funerals thing, but I have returned! :D With knitting. I did a lot of knitting. My first 4 auctions (I have 15 total) start this afternoon... You can click here to visit ((MY eBAY LISTINGS)) or ((MY DoA THREAD))! Confide, a Catsy/tiny-size chaos lace shawl in handpainted silk/kid mohair gossamer: Entitled (on the right), my new v-neck SD boy style in baby alpaca...the Slytherin sweater/scarf should go up tomorrow! Mai Tai, my new scoopneck Suri alpaca in tropical-drink stripes: Pompeii, a super-soft Suri alpaca cowlneck: Hoping to get caught up with everyone/thing soon...it's good to be back--and not hiding under the bed anymore! :P | |

| I am totally clueless as to how to go about this, but I want to sell this thing: It's a scene from Milton Caniff's classic Terry & the Pirates comic, & it appears to be hand-coloured & signed by the man himself. The infamous Dragon Lady & her parade of toothsome topless servingwomen appear to be entertaining Terry Lee & Pat Ryan, the main characters. It's matted, so it wouldn't scan...the photo leaves something to be desired, but you get the main point. I'm assuming the original b/w ink linework was printed onto something like Bristol board in preparation for the colouring...you can see below where he's scratched out some colour back to the white, which is a pretty common technique when you're working on Bristol: This was bought at an estate auction in Hillsboro, OH (Caniff's hometown), about 10 years ago. It's been hanging out in my stored stuff since then, & I just unearthed it while nosing through a box. I know zip about comic collecting, terminology, & appraisal...can anybody with some relevant comics knowledge nudge me in the right direction? Do I need to have it authenticated & appraised before I sell, or will that just eat up what I might get for it? What do I even CALL this stage of work? ;; Help, help!! Oh, have also just listed the Hiphopgirl Cocori ensemble on eBay. At least I know what to do with that on eBay. XD - Tags:salespimpin'

| Finally got that blasted ribknit done last night!! Wotta pain. But...kind of worth it: This is Virgil (Yukinojo) in "Lockpick," a merino ribknit pullover for SD16s (& it should fit 13's nicely, too...I just haven't tried it on one) And this is my first SD13-size girl :D , IpleHouse Cocori (just arrived a few days ago, & as yet unnamed, but will be something rather French), showing off "Jade Hook" to its best advantage: And my new happy couple: | |

| Sorry about the drop-out, there...my gastroparesis is on the rampage & there are contractor dudes crawling all over my house, so all I can do in the face of the nausea & ungodly racket, etc. is spend countless hours at the farm, Sitting Very Still [TM] & knitting my little fingers off. Thank heavens that my knitting libido picked back up at the end of August. ;; I've been doing some pattern streamlining as well as some new prototype-things. So now I have at least 7 sweaters lined up for my first eBay auctions of the season! Here's a brief run-down, if you want to see what mortally nauseated people do with their time. ^^ All of these pictures are dreadful, most with a flash & just sort of randomly taken, but they work for teasers, right? Of course right. ~~"Lycopene," a mohair turtle/cowlneck for SD13 sizes: ( And here's the rest... ) ~~"Lockpick," a merino ribknit pullover for SD16's, is still in progress. Jeebus, what a pain in the drain! I'm of a mind to start it at $60 just for all the endless hours of toil it's required of me. ;; I'm also planning to open for some limited commissions at the end of the month, because I've had (joy!) a lot of interest about it. I have a bunch of new things planned & a ton of new yarn, not to mention that pesky nausea that doesn't seem to want to lay off, so hopefully I'll get lots done. I hope everybody's well & having a good end-of-summer...I have dollnews, & I'll be wading back into the friendslist any time now! I missed you guys & want to catch up. Feels like I've been gone for ages! *__* | |

| It's that time again...just 3 sweaters this time, though--most of the knitting I'm doing right now is for my fit-testers. But, I've got (click for links):

In the meantime, I'm STILL sneezing (they think it's the anaesthesia) & drunk on Benadryl. zzzzzzzzzzz
NB for knitters: The cobweb yarn for my chaos sweater came from the awesome Alchemy Fibre Arts on eBay. Catherine is a total sweetheart & a super-talented fibre artist!! I have this great big stash of her stuff that I'm just dying to use, as soon as I get my fitting stuff done...but I couldn't wait with this purple cobweb. *drool*

Hot pink kid mohair from England. There are others, but I'm having a hard time thinking about them yet. O__O It's even hotter-hot-pink, like highlighter-pink, in person. The Unoa sweaters! Think of the Unoa sweaters!!! *protracted squee* That is all. Oh, and 3 of my sweater auctions end tomorrow night. Pink...mohair..<3 <3 <3..what was I saying? - Tags:knitting, salespimpin'

| All 6 auctions are now up. Whew! My eBay link is HERE. The mini Chaos lace already has 19 watchers, shock my ass. X__X Simone got in some modelling hours--well, just about everybody did. Orange Chaos Lace scarf/mantle
( And a few more auction highlights. )

| I posted three auctions (an SD-16 sweater, a mini-size black Chaos Lace sweater & a very odd OOAK extreme Suri for SD-13s) this evening, with three more scheduled (an SD-13 purple/black stripe, a tiger orange merino Chaos scarf, a blue extreme Suri for SD-13s) for tomorrow evening. I was pretty happy with my pictures--I got a tripod yesterday & am in non-blurry-photo heaven. Click HERE to visit my eBay auction page! Virgil. Virgil is KILLING me with the smouldery predatory look. woof. SD-16s are sooo much better in person than in those awful Volks release shots. I took about 150 pictures of him. XD I'll post a few pictures here, too--maybe tomorrow. Right now my head feels like it's about to burst--sinus headaches. I love 'em. *goes off to find somewhere quiet & dark* | |
|
| Finished my mini-size Chaos sweater last night...this is just a randomish picture, and please excuse the dreadful Photoshopped faceup--poor B-el still doesn't have one of his own. ;; Rather like he doesn't have any trousers. Or a name, for that matter. That's waiting on the faceup! This one has some dangly things on it, too. Whoohoo, dangly things! Better pictures (including some on the girls) later. Right now, is is beautiful outside & I'm going antiqueing! | |

| Well, I've been sick for something like 2-1/2 weeks, what with one thing (asthma) or another (my ^%*&Y back), so if nothing else, I've gotten a lot of knitting done. And I'm ready to float a few sweaters out onto evilBay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5676623471&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5676816069&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1( Click here to have a look at 2 pics that didn't make it to the listing. )
I have several other designs, yarns & styles--I should be listing at least 2 more this week. I'm thinking of doing commissions & auctions, but I wanted to see what the reception for these first ones would be like first...so, what do YOU guys think? What would you like to see? And what on earth do you think the market would bear for a commission/BIN price? It takes at least 9-10 hours per sweater, and that yarn don't come from Wal Mart, 'neither...^^
And I haven't even gotten a proper "welcome home" picture for Virgil, my Yukinojo! But he's already channeling Snape in a serious way, which has definitely eased my suffering this week. XD What a presence these SD-16s have!! Still, here's a very tiny one:

| This is so overdue! Almost two weeks ago (yeah, that kind of overdue... -_-) we got a very special wig in the mail. ( 6 more pictures. )This is an MSD-sized wig custom made by the very talented jerrysugarav. She makes her own hair wefts & has access to a whole rainbow of colours. A line of latex wig-glue inside the wig cap keeps the wig on with no adhesive needed, & even though it's heavy (obviously), Lucy & Mirjam are standing on their own with no props or stands whatsoever. They fit both the large & small MSD size heads--fit perfectly on my Serendipity girls & my Unoa girl & boy, all of which have the smaller 6-7" measurements. The hair is excellent quality & is remarkably easy to handle. There's just no other wigs out there like these. You need one! Go visit her community, littlerapunzel, for more ordering information, & you can also visit her Marketplace thread on DoA. It is so unbelievably beautiful! Thank you so much, jerrysugarav!! My only problem now is that all four of them want to wear it... | |
|
| Slowly but surely, I'm weeding out dollthings to sell. This week it's an SD-13 boy ensemble built around a rich red-brown faux-leather trenchcoat with 4 buckles--includes: trench, hat, trousers, socks & really nice leather boots. It's made by Sojinomo & came with Soren as an extra. It's hard for me to sell anything with buckles on it, but nobody here wants to wear brown! ;; I put in on DoA (because evilBay is eating me alive with fees) & my current offer stands at $40...taking offers until 1 AM EST on 23 January. *gnaws nails* I'm expecting B-el & my long-awaited Y!J Ricky "Callas" head (the Queen Uke!!) either tomorrow or Monday...my Archnemesis the Postmaster is such an ass, he'll probably hide my packages somewhere so they won't come until Wednesday or something. *grits teeth* I should do a sweater-prototype update post soon! I've got lots to show, now. I'm trying to make my svelte little SD-13 boy boatneck without any sewn seams at all, which involves a lethal-looking fistful of double-pointed needles, flagrant use of stitch-holders, the dreaded Kitchener graft & a lot of swearing. *sigh* But I LOVE working with Merino wool. It's like knitting with cream. If cream were yarn. - Tags:salespimpin'
