Posting about Simone's homeiversary got me thinking about this photoshoot, which I figure a lot of you haven't seen, or have only seen snippets of. They were for a sweater sale--2 Mini-size sleeveless Chaos Lace sweaters, Secret Path & Secret River. Secret Path had a big cowlneck/hood thing & Secret River had a 28-inch train. I took the girls out to the local rock quarry & found the perfect spot! I think these are some of the best pictures I've taken of Simone (and Lucy--the Sharmin wearing S. Path--although these pics were for S. River's auction, so they focus on Simone). I made the raggedy little outfits, too. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Sorry about the drop-out, there...my gastroparesis is on the rampage & there are contractor dudes crawling all over my house, so all I can do in the face of the nausea & ungodly racket, etc. is spend countless hours at the farm, Sitting Very Still [TM] & knitting my little fingers off. Thank heavens that my knitting libido picked back up at the end of August. ;; I've been doing some pattern streamlining as well as some new prototype-things.

So now I have at least 7 sweaters lined up for my first eBay auctions of the season! Here's a brief run-down, if you want to see what mortally nauseated people do with their time. ^^ All of these pictures are dreadful, most with a flash & just sort of randomly taken, but they work for teasers, right? Of course right.

~~"Lockpick," a merino ribknit pullover for SD16's, is still in progress. Jeebus, what a pain in the drain! I'm of a mind to start it at $60 just for all the endless hours of toil it's required of me. ;;

I'm also planning to open for some limited commissions at the end of the month, because I've had (joy!) a lot of interest about it. I have a bunch of new things planned & a ton of new yarn, not to mention that pesky nausea that doesn't seem to want to lay off, so hopefully I'll get lots done.

Lucy's longdistance boyfriend, (JennyNemesis' SDC Arashi)  Rowan, had his birthday this past week (on 6/6/06, because that boy is the very devil), & so she posed for a few pictures to express her undying love from across the country.   She borrowed B's (B-el) Anotherspace tophat, shirt/sleeves & new Dollheart boots...and for some reason I couldn't find the black panties, so she had to make do with white.  :\  While not quite as steamy as some of her past cheesecake shoots--have I posted those here?  I don't think I have!!  Must remedy.--she got her point across in a Manner Most PhotoBucketable.

Lucy was my very first BJD, after much deliberation...I fell in love with her collarbones & that delicate-yet-womanly build, & I can recall precisely the utter joy I felt when I opened her box--that first whiff of resin & that near-audible "click" you feel when you look at a doll & whisper, "Where have you BEEN?"  *sniffle*

I got her a little over a year ago, & she is DEFINITELY Alpha Female around here.  ;)   And I've got all of these asskicking pictures of her posing in bits & pieces of August & Aubrey's default outfits, & have never posted them!  Durhurhur.

The Sharmin really is a lovely, elegant sculpt...I should do more with her.  (But I need to wire her first, OMG the kicking!!!  >__<)  She's also due a faceup...one of these days.

Almost two weeks ago (yeah, that kind of overdue... -_-) we got a very special wig in the mail.

This is an MSD-sized wig custom made by the very talented jerrysugarav. She makes her own hair wefts & has access to a whole rainbow of colours. A line of latex wig-glue inside the wig cap keeps the wig on with no adhesive needed, & even though it's heavy (obviously), Lucy & Mirjam are standing on their own with no props or stands whatsoever. They fit both the large & small MSD size heads--fit perfectly on my Serendipity girls & my Unoa girl & boy, all of which have the smaller 6-7" measurements. The hair is excellent quality & is remarkably easy to handle.
