My "Black Pearl" Calla lily is up & running! :D Actually, it was a little faded by the time I took this, but it's been so hot & sunny here--I think it bleached! Poor black flower.

After an almost 2-year wait, my "Bela Lugosi" Daylily has bloomed overnight. *squee*



I loathe strongly dislike daylilies (except the orange wildtype) in general--the ubiquitous "Stella D'Oro" has burned my eyeballs one time too many--but I just couldn't resist a black Daylily with a green heart, & a name like that. <3 Last year we had such strange Spring weather that a lot of things didn't bloom even in Summer, like Bela here and...
