August's 3-year homeiversary came hard on the heels of Lucy's...it was yesterday! And it feels like only yesterday that my first SD-size doll (the first of many XD) came home. *sniffle* I remember putting him & Lucy together on the office mantel & just staring for hours, transfixed.

This picture came later, once Aubrey had arrived, but it's still my very favourite image of August. I think it captures him perfectly.



Geez, I feel the urge to go open some wine...better follow my instincts! *squeezes August*

Sorry about the drop-out, there...my gastroparesis is on the rampage & there are contractor dudes crawling all over my house, so all I can do in the face of the nausea & ungodly racket, etc. is spend countless hours at the farm, Sitting Very Still [TM] & knitting my little fingers off. Thank heavens that my knitting libido picked back up at the end of August. ;; I've been doing some pattern streamlining as well as some new prototype-things.

So now I have at least 7 sweaters lined up for my first eBay auctions of the season! Here's a brief run-down, if you want to see what mortally nauseated people do with their time. ^^ All of these pictures are dreadful, most with a flash & just sort of randomly taken, but they work for teasers, right? Of course right.

~~"Lockpick," a merino ribknit pullover for SD16's, is still in progress. Jeebus, what a pain in the drain! I'm of a mind to start it at $60 just for all the endless hours of toil it's required of me. ;;

I'm also planning to open for some limited commissions at the end of the month, because I've had (joy!) a lot of interest about it. I have a bunch of new things planned & a ton of new yarn, not to mention that pesky nausea that doesn't seem to want to lay off, so hopefully I'll get lots done.

I hope everybody's well & having a good end-of-summer...I have dollnews, & I'll be wading back into the friendslist any time now! I missed you guys & want to catch up. Feels like I've been gone for ages! *__*

That Aubrey, when will he ever learn!? I keep telling him to never take candy from beautiful hooded barefooted strangers that he calls up from the Otherlands, but will he listen? Nooooo.

I haven't taken a picture of the twins in ages, so here's a good excuse: I finally found a firehair wig for Soren, to go with August's long red-orange Poshdolls wig. It's a pretty fur from Bittenbefore, & it really suits his little oddball feral self. Also, they're Leos (like me!), so the fire motif is apropos & all. :p

Not my best photographic efforts, but I have so much work being done on my house right now that I just have to sling them out, snap a picture & sling them back into their boxes! ;__; However, I'm having my front porch screened in (among other upgrades), so it's worth the bother.

Well, except for the fact that Search, my peachfaced lovebird, plucked his chest entirely bald the other morning due to stress over the construction noises. Poor baby, he & his now-deceased SO, Destroy, were abused by their last owner, & he has a lot of residual nervous problems. But, I'm keeping his cage covered for most of the day now, & I'm giving him some extra oil supplements & bird grit & peanuts & pine nuts to hull & a new shredding toy (he plucked after he entirely decimated the last one within the course of a few hours, evidently). So he appears to be letting his new pin feathers come in undisturbed. Little turkey...I even had to turn on the heat the other night, because he got cold. x__x

Hopefully coming soon (this weekend?): a double dose of Softly She Walks...Deep Shadow meets The Magician. Everything's been so crazy recently, I'd really like some time to just calm down & take doll pictures! And, gasp, maybe POST some here & there!!

7 yards of chiffon, and my house looks like a harem exploded in it. Not that it kind of didn't already.

The boys were very inspired.
